Accessibility Policy

Commitment to accessibility
This site is committed to providing a website experience that is accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort and part of normal site maintenance.

Accessibility standard
The goal is to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2, Level AA, as published by the W3C.
This work also supports the broader expectation under the Americans with Disabilities Act that websites be accessible to people with disabilities.

What the site is doing
Ongoing accessibility work includes efforts such as

  1. Maintaining logical page structure and meaningful headings
  2. Supporting keyboard navigation and visible focus states
  3. Providing text alternatives for non-text content, including image descriptions where appropriate
  4. Using sufficient color contrast and avoiding color-only instructions
  5. Improving form labels, error messages, and interactive controls
  6. Supporting zoom and responsive layouts on mobile and desktop
  7. Providing captions or transcripts when feasible for video and audio content

Testing and continuous improvement
Accessibility is reviewed periodically using a combination of automated checks and manual testing, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader spot checks. Issues that materially affect access are prioritized for remediation.

Third-party content
Some pages may include third-party tools or embedded content that is not fully under site control. When barriers are identified in third-party content, the site will work to provide alternatives when feasible or request improvements from the vendor.

Feedback and assistance
Reports of accessibility barriers are welcomed. If a barrier is encountered, the site will work to provide the information or service through an alternative method and to address the issue when possible.
